MEET SALBER

I'm Salber Lee Williams, a coach, performer, and founder of This Is Joy Mvmt.

My work sits at the intersection of embodiment practices, voice work, and joy. I help individuals, groups, and teams close the gap between how they want to show up and how they actually do: in their bodies, freeing the natural voice, releasing tension, recovering presence, and finding the ease and play that make everything else possible.

By becoming more aware of how we take up space, habits we’ve learned, where and how tension lives in our bodies, and our limiting self-beliefs, we can embark on the ultimate transformation: transforming how we speak, how we lead, and how we move through the world.

Coaching: One-on-one

Somatic, mindfulness-based coaching for people ready to come back to their voice, their power, and their authentic expression. Together we work through the habits, the holding patterns, and the places where you've learned to shrink, so you can take up your space fully. I meet you where you are.

Corporate & Team Sessions

For teams ready to reconnect: with themselves, with each other, and with the joy in the work itself. Through embodiment practices, voice work, and joy-centered facilitation, I help people find their way back to presence, play, and genuine connection. When people feel at home in their bodies and free in their voices, they communicate, lead, and create differently.

MY APPROACH

The body doesn't lie. This is where we start.

I spent years as a professional actor — on Shakespearean stages, in contemporary art spaces, at international film festivals, and on Netflix. That training is where I learned to take up space. But rather than a performance trick, the work lay in finding a genuine practice of inhabiting myself fully: voice, breath, body, presence. This is what makes the difference between someone who's technically prepared and someone who actually commands a room.

But being present didn't always come easy to me. There were years of doubting my voice, of shrinking when I should have expanded, of performing confidence while feeling deeply disconnected from myself, unsure of who I was or whether I had the right to take up space. The very things I was training to do on stage, I was struggling to access in my own life.

Finding my way back to my body, my voice, my power wasn't a straight line. But it's the journey that made this work real. I don't teach this from theory. I teach it from the inside.

WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOU

When you work with me, we start with the body as a literal entry point. Where are you holding tension? Where has your voice contracted? Where have you stopped taking up space, stopped playing, stopped trusting what you actually feel and who you are?

Through movement, breath, and guided awareness of physical sensation, we access what's actually happening beneath the surface: the habits, the holding patterns, the places where you've learned to brace rather than be.

The work is to get you to the point of remembering your true voice, before all of the conditioning, and implementing a regular practice of moving, speaking, and entering a room from that place.

It's practical, embodied work. And it works.

THE PRACTICE IN THE WORLD

This work doesn't only happen in sessions. It lives in the community I've built through This Is Joy Mvmt: Joy Rides, Joy Journaling Sessions, Joy Circles. Spaces where people practice coming back to themselves together, in real life. Moving through the world in their bodies. Finding ease, play, and genuine connection.
